NAGARI SULIT AIR, BUKAN MEMPEROLEH AIR YANG SULIT

Kebanyakan pelancong yang datang ke objek wisata di Sulit Air, Sumbar sering bertanya tanya, kenapa nagari itu dijuluki “Sulit Air”. Sedangkan memperoleh air, tampaknya amat mudah di sana.
Karena di pusat Negari itu terdapat sungai Katialo, yang airnya mengalir jernih di bawah ” Titi” sebutan warga setempat mengalir tidak henti – henti nya sampai ke muara Batang Ombilin di tepian danau Singkarak.
Sungai Katialo, tampaknya hampir seluas Kali Ciliwung, dekat pusat Keramaian pasar Rumput, Jakarta Selatan, dimana ditemukan banyak perantau Sulit Air yang berjualan dalam berbagai kegiatan perdagangan.
Dengan demikian, Sulit Air, bukan memperoleh air yang sulit karena Batang Katialo seluas Kali Ciliwung, setiap saat dapat digunakan untuk mandi, cuci, kakus (MCK), bahkan beruduk sekalipun.
Sulit Air, sebuah nagari kini disebut desa terdiri 13 jorong setelah berubah nama nagari menjadi desa. Nagari seluas 80 km persegi, terdapat banyak objek wisata jenjang seribu, rumah 20 ruang dan batu Galeh di jorong Taram, sekitar 7 km dari pusat keramaian penduduk Sulit Air.
Nagari yang berpenduduk 98.000 jiwa lebih itu, bertebaran di 34 provinsi, bahkan ada yang merantau sampai keluar negeri seperti Australia. Sepuluh persen diantaranya yang menetap di kampung asal sebagai petani tradisional.
Sifat air
Sebenarnya warga Sulit Air itu memakai sifat air, kata alm Datuk Polong Kayo,SH, pernah menjabat Lembaga Kerapatan Adat Nagari (LKAM) di kecamatan X koto Diatas, kabupaten Solok. Jadi, di nagari Sulit Air, bukannya Sulit Air tapi filsafat warga itu dalam berkiprah seperti air.
Lima sifat air yang melekat kental dalam kehidupan warga Sulit Air, kata Datuk sungguh. Ia menambahkan sifat air pertama membersihkan yang kotor. Jadi dalam pergaulannya suka mengatakan yang benar, benar dan salah yang salah, ya salah.
Sifat Air, berikutnya, mendinginkan yang panas, dengan maksud pelepas dahaga, bagi yang harus dengan begitu tamu yang berkunjung biasanya mereka akan senang bila dapat memberi “Seteguk” air, ada nasi yang diberi nasi.
Jika tidak, maka mereka sedih dan merasa berdosa. ” Bagaimanapun kita adalah bersaudara, kata Datuk seraya membenarkan sifat air satu – dua agaknya kurang difahami oleh generasi sekarang apalagi mereka tinggal di kota, kecuali ” Nyinyir” bertanya kepada yang sudah berumur, akan mengerti Sulit Air.
Sifat air ketiga adalah suka mendi nginkan yang panas, maksudnya adalah selalu tidak mempersoalkan hal hal yang bertentangan karena akibatnya bisa menjadi pertengkaran dan perpecahan.
Sekarang bila diperhatikan perantau dulu disebut Negari wesel itu, kebanyakan memakai sifat air, yang turun dari langit, jatuh ke bumi turun, turun ke bagian yang rendah dan landai, terus mencari yang rendah dan sampai mencapai air yang bersatu ke sungai dan mengalir untuk mencapai tujuan terakhir, yakni muara.
Jadi, air yang mengalir dari sungai menuju ke muara, sebelum sampai ke laut melalui muara, tentu akan banyak rintangan yang diterimanya, seperti mengalami hempasan, tumbukkan, tiba di batu belok ke kiri dan kanan sampai di tebing diterjunkan ke bagian yang dalam dan seterusnya, terus mengalir ke tempat – tempat yang rendah dan akhirnya mencapai juga muara.
Dengan demikian, warga ini dalam berusaha dari pedagang kecil, misalnya saat ini, dan dua tiga tahun mendatang mereka telah menjadi pedagang menengah dan besar. Dari tidak memiliki tempat permanen berusaha, kemudian mempunyai toko yang tetap.
Begitu juga bila menjadi dari pegawai rendah, setahun kemudian, sudah menjadi pejabat, seperti misalnya bekas Asisten Pembangunan kota administrasi Jakarta Timur, alm H Nasrul Muluk.
Mereka yang mencapai sukses rata raya merangkak dari bawah setelah berjuang, seperti mengalirnya air dari gunung salak di Bogor hingga ke muara ANGKE di Jakarta. Lain halnya seperti Happy Bone Zulkarnain di Bandung, dia sebelumnya bergerak sebagai kolumnis dan kemudian ke bidang politik dan terpilih dari Bandung dua periode anggota DPR RI.
Putera Zulkarnain itu, lebih parah dari data biografinya, tapi Ia bergerak tidak dalam usaha perdagangan, tapi dalam bidang pendidikan hingga mencapai Doktor Pasca Sarjana (S3), tetap menjadi kolumnis Muda dan dosen tetap di Institut Ilmu Pemerintahan (IIP) kampus Jakarta dan Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Administrasi Lembaga Administrasi Negara (STIA LAN) dan Universitas Parahiyangan (UNPAR) di Bandung.
Dapat dicontohkan, seperti pemilik Apotik Jaya alm Jamaluddin Tamban apotik tertua di kota Pekanbaru, dan di Jakarta serta berbagai kota perantau lainnya, juga bermula dari pedagang kecil, kemudian menjadi pedagang besar dan usahanya tidak saja di Indonesia, bahkan sudah ada di Jerman dan Amerika.
Ketiga tokoh perantau Sulit Air itu, baik dari kalangan pemerintah, edukasi dan bisnis bila dibaca sejarahnya lebih banyak dukanya daripada sukanya karena mulai merantau dari negeri asal, hanya ber modal tulang “Ampek Karek” atau bermodal dengkul. (Red./Risto)
