COORDINATION MEETING OF THE INDONESIAN COMMUNITY CARE MOVEMENT (GMPI) Jakarta, PENA – Led by Secretary-General Drs. Risman Thomas, MAPP, Coordination with Jakarta Emergency Waste Team, at DPP GMPI Secretariat, Saturday Evening 7/11. The policy of the Governor of DKI Jakarta who will dialogue with the team, certainly has many problems and GMPI will support the Governor’s policy for the benefit of the many people who are now hit by waste since August 2026 because the landfill (TPA) was closed. The Governor’s dialogue in this case is delegated to the Head of the Environment Agency (Dinas Lingkungan Hidup), who will convey to the team to obtain land to build RDF industry in South Jakarta. “Dialogue between the Environment Agency ranks and the team, via Zoom, discusses the opportunity of DKI Jakarta Regional Government asset land that can be used to build an RDF factory / industry that turns waste into valuable goods,” said Risman seriously. Land search results in South Jakarta, as a pilot project to sort, process and manage waste in bulk. The team really hopes for a Governor policy, Regional Secretary and related agencies have coordinated and technical aspects will decide it. According to Risman, the land need addressed to DKI Regional Government appears to be in the Cipedak Village sector, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, covering 2-3 hectares.
